Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities
The Senior Mechanical Engineer requires experience in electronics packaging in the RF microwave product area.
The selected candidate will have responsibility for the layout and detailed design of complex assemblies that
utilize a variety of materials and processes in their manufacture. The individual will be the mechanical lead
in and integrated product team (IPT) environment working with talented engineers and technical experts in RF and
microwave techniques. Products operate at frequencies ranging from several MHz to 40 GHz and contain filters,
amplifiers, switches and digital circuits. Component technologies include printed circuit, machined cavity, and
lumped element filters as well as other microstrip and stripline components and RFIC’s in both packaged and bare
die form. Enclosure materials include machined aluminum, brass, and steel alloys as well as formed metals.
Primary Duties:
- Perform the mechanical packaging design and layout of RF/microwave devices and systems for defense applications.
Includes responsibility for product design & development, 3-dimensional parametric modeling and analysis (PRO/E),
design for manufacturability (DFM), design to cost (DTC), and ECO/ECN document management.
- Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Participate in planning and execution of environmental testing of microwave products.
- Interface with customers, contractors, and subcontractors on mechanical/interface requirements and analysis.
- Perform special assignments as requested. May be required to perform assignments or higher or lower engineering classifications.
- This position may be responsible for supervision of contractors, model or metal shop, or mechanical drafting personnel.
Requirements:
- Requires B.S. degree, in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years minimum experience.
- Candidate should have demonstrated the ability to integrate and coordinate different mechanical disciplines including mechanical design, electronics packaging, thermal analysis, structural analysis, and material science.
- Solid understanding of RF/Microwave electronics packaging; experience with broadband/high frequency (>/=18 GHz) devices.
- Candidate should have demonstrated performance with leading mechanical design efforts and be able to work simultaneously on several projects.
- Fluent with CAE/CAD tools such as AutoCAD and PRO/Engineer Mechanica as well as excellent skills with the standard MS-Office suite.
- Solid written & oral communication skills; ability to develop cross-functional collaborative relationships; ability to interface with customers & senior staff.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance, and U.S. citizenship are required.
RF/Microwave Technician
To be considered as a candidate you must have the following:
- Microwave experience to 20 GHz
- Strong test experience with Network & Spectrum Analyzer and Power Meters
- Perform standard RF/Microwave tuning processes
- Ability to troubleshoot/problem solve, repair, and perform rework to the component level
- Effective communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally in a professional manner; and a positive team oriented attitude
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a technical school
- 4-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of Microsoft Office, ATE computer operations, and experience with Agilent test equipment a plus
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
- U.S. citizenship are required

RF Technical Specialist
Responsibilities
Position is responsible for performing the most advanced tests on the most complex products, working from prints, work
instructions, test specifications and verbal and engineering instructions. Develops, trouble shoots and trains on test,
tune and repair processes; instructs and leads other technicians; recommends design and test procedure and protocol changes to Engineering.
Primary Duties:
- Build and test the most complex RF microwave devices
- Develop production test processes and procedures
- Troubleshoot test procedures
- Recommend design changes
- Troubleshoot nonconforming product
- Develop and/or recommend fixturing, tooling to improve manufacturing performance
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and SPC principles and techniques
- Troubleshoot operations processes to resolve problems relating to assembly, test
- Lead/train other technicians as required
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in manufacturing and test of products comparable to those produced at Sage Labs
- AAS Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret level security clearance
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, or equivalent
- Able to assume technical leadership responsibility
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a secret security clearance are required

- Ability to navigate production floor
Engineering CO-OP Student
Work at our state-of-the-art facility in Hudson NH, we have the following Spring Semester opprotunities:
Support senior level engineering staff in a variety of tasks including: developing process maps and implementing
process improvements; processing Engineering Change Orders; creating diagrams and instructions for test stations;
perform engineering data collection, review, and analysis; and product cost estimate analysis. You will be a
contributing member of 3 engineering product teams working to ensure the design, development, build and delivery
of our high quality products. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to this job as the need develops.
Your exposure will be across the Company, and you will work alongside many talented people.
- 2 years engineering experience
- Machanical, Industrial, or Electrical Background
- Experience with Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007
- Some exposure to AutoCAD
